The Shift: Regaining my Power

by Brit Lashae

I have been regaining my power day by day, hour by hour, and second by second.  Falling in love with me all over again. It is something that everyone probably goes through as they transition in life, whether it is from age to age, relationships, deciding to heal from a situation, leaving a situation, etc, there is always a process in shifting, in finding the true you, and in finding your power all over again.

In this blog I want to provide three tips on how I have been regaining my power and embracing the shift of empowerment.

  1. Meditation - Meditation is huge for me as I never really understood meditating,  I truly didn’t understand the benefits that came with it; but let me tell you that this is a major key in how I have started regaining my power.  In the morning, my meditation includes breathing, being still (silence), prayer, reading of the bible, and then journaling. At night I focus on body scans (you can find some on youtube, just type in body scan) these help focus on how your body responds and relaxes it before bed, and I also write 7 things I am grateful for.  Meditation has helped me focus on the present moment instead of the thinking of my past and future, it helps me to truly embrace the here and now, and how I can control what is happening in my life at the present moment.
  2. Setting Intentions - Setting intentions is another thing that I do daily.  Intention means to do something on purpose! Examples: Today I will be happy, Today I will be Productive, Today I will not let negativity in….set the intention you want to focus on for that day and do everything around that so that you have complete control and power on how your day goes.
  3. Reclaiming my authority - Reclaiming my authority, is speaking what I want into existence.  Speaking and believing that I have the authority to live the life that I want. So many times people want to dictate and have authority over your life, and think that you need to do things their way.  Well I am here to tell you that you have the authority over your life, and the power to manifest your dreams.

All three of these tips have helped me regain power and embrace my shift of empowerment;  knowing that I have control over my life and how I set my day in the morning and at night, has allowed me to become unstoppable.

As I continue on this journey of regaining my power, I will continue to share tips and tricks that are working for me.

Before I let you go, I want you to promise me one thing, and that is that you will be patient with yourself and give yourself permission to regain your power.

God has shifted me and put me through experiences so that I can help others find their power. Find their purpose. Find their passion. I will not give up on my assignment to help people find this within themselves! I have a mission and I am going to complete it!

If you are waiting on fear to disappear before you start, you will never start!

If I wait on fear, then I will be waiting forever.  If I wait on fear, then I will never see my full potential.  If I wait on fear, then I will not be where I am today. If I wait on fear, I would not be walking in my purpose. If I wait on fear, If I wait on fear, If I wait on fear…….

It Almost Left Again

I almost let it slip away from me again. I almost pushed it out of my mind like I always do.  I almost buried it deep down into the place I know where to hid it; inside of my heart and mind.
